How to Bulk Up - Build Muscle Mass Quickly

So, you want to get ripped? You have bought a big stack of bodybuilding supplements and they are going to work miracles. You don't need to do anything else but pop down to the gym once or twice a week? Sadly, it just doesn't work like that.
The first thing that you need to ask yourself when thinking about gaining muscle is what size do you want to be? Are you just looking to be toned? If so, this article is probably not going to help you. There are many workout routines you can use to build well toned muscle. This article will help if you want to be big. It isn't for everybody, so don't feel there is something wrong with focusing on getting a fit, toned body instead of bodybuilding.
If you want to be big and to build lots of muscle mass there are three things that you need to be doing. Of the big three squats is probably the most important. This single exercise works muscles all over your body. Most importantly, putting your body through this massive workout actually causes you to release hormones involved in building muscle.. Squats are basically natures testosterone supplements!
The next big exercise is the dead lift. Combined with squats you have covered 75% of all the muscles in your body with two exercises. If you are unsure of how to do a dead lift try to get an instructor at your gym or an experienced lifter to demonstrate it to you. The last thing you want to do is to injure yourself with improper technique. Essentially though, the dead lift involves lifting the bar bell from the ground in a squatting position, straightening up and then lowering it back down to the ground.
The next thing to remember is to stick with compound exercises. It's fine before going out on Friday night to isolate a specific muscle group and do a little work on it. Who doesn't like to see their bicep bulging while posing in the bar or club? Is this the way to do your whole workout though? No is hopefully the answer you came up with!
Instead do compound exercises that work whole muscle groups. The sorts of things that you should be looking at are bench presses, bar bell rows, shoulder presses and chin ups.
Combine this with the right diet, one that includes plenty of protein and you will soon start to see results.
